It's a spec for PvP. Not actually a PvPer but as RS gold with all nox weapons, Mirrorback is like vengeance on crack on heritage mode. The scythe is pretty much the only weapon at its tier not outclassed by a t92, Considering that the Zaros Godsword was given its own market. And when used properly it can nevertheless lay down some serious DPM, particularly given the strategic benefit of not being required to stand at melee space of your opponent. It is your best slayer weapon in RuneScape. Slimming down, nothing beats the AoE of the scythe. This weapon has been created to slice, dice and disembowel. It fundamentally changed how people looked in slayer and eliminated the need to get a multicannon for efficient melee slaying.
A scythe from Morytania dropped by an arachnid supervisor that can hit several targets at once? I wonder where they came up with a badass idea. It did not fail as a market weapon. Items like Torag's Hammers, Verac's Flail, Javelins, etc might have seemed cool, but they really made waves as amazing weapons. In fact, before EoC, Torag's Hammers were considered worse than a rune scimitar and they still suck on Old School. This uniqueness is among the things that gave the abyssal whip its mythical status. How long do you think it's going to be until we see that a t92 chakram set? t92 sling? t92 pike? t92 oudachi? I presume it will be a very long time. At the moment, the one most unique high-level weapon out there's the noxious scythe.
15 years ago I remember dying here How times have changed
It was both lol. Made my first accounts and walked up to Varrock and died to wizards. Freaked out that I'd already lost what I had and decided it'd be easier to just make another account, so I did and went the other direction toward Falador and expired to highwayman lol. So that you survived and chose a third account, and then I did the same thing again and is now my main! Lol I also died to the Wizards and decided to make a brand new account. Saying losing my crappy assortment of bronze-steel gear, runes, and 1k cash stack seemed like far too large a set-back to overcome.
I didn't even have that since I had just left tut island. I literally only had all of the shit you leave tut island with inside my back pack and felt like using literally zero gp or tools or anything to get started with was enough of a setback that it was simpler to simply start over. I actually don't even think that was a wrong choice. If I'd my current degree of knowledge then sure it would be easy to work around that, but knowing almost nothing about RuneScape, I really do think it would've taken me more time to make the bare essentials back than to just create buy OSRS gold a new account.
