(1) The arrangement of ejector pins should balance the ejector force as much as possible. The demolding force required for complex structures is large, so the number of ejectors should be increased accordingly.
(2) The ejector pin should be placed in effective parts, such as reinforcing ribs, pillars, steps, metal inserts, thick parts, and other parts with complex structures. The ejector pins on both sides of the rib and column should be arranged as symmetrically as possible. The distance between the thimble and the rib and column is usually D=1.5mm. In addition, it should also be ensured that the lines connecting the centers of the ejector pins on both sides of the cylinder pass through the center of the cylinder.
(3) Avoid designing ejector pins across steps or slopes. The ejection surface of the thimble should be as flat as possible. The ejector pin should be placed in a structural position where the plastic product has a high load-carrying capacity.
(4) The ejector pin should be used in places where the rib is deep (depth ≥ 20mm) or where the ejector pin is difficult to arrange. When an ejector pin is required, the ejector pin should be in the form of an insert to facilitate processing.
(5) Avoid sharp and thin steel, especially since the ejector pin ejector surface cannot contact the cavity.
(6) The distance between the ejector pin and the cooling channel should be considered in the arrangement of the ejector pin, so as not to affect the processing of the cooling channel or cause leakage.
(7) Consider the exhaust function of the ejector pin. In order to exhaust during ejection, the ejector pin should be placed in a place where a vacuum is easily formed. For example, on a large plane in the cavity, although the coating force of the plastic product is relatively small, it is easy to form a vacuum, which leads to an increase in the demoulding force.
(8) For plastic products that require a surface finish, the ejector pin cannot be placed on the outer surface, and other ejector methods should be used.
