Therefore, it is only fair that you admit their contributions to the academic world and provide the sources of data that you are using in the course of your own academic papers.

Why do we need to add citations?

Whenever you write anything, you are bound to use the facts and figures that are used or provided by other writers or researchers after their own years of research. Therefore, it is only fair that you admit their contributions to the academic world and provide the sources of data that you are using in the course of your own academic papers.

These references are important as they give your readers and/or teachers the idea of separating your data from the facts and figures that you have taken from other writers or researchers. It also helps you to find the gaps in the old write my paper task and provides you the opportunity to add your own contributions.

Reasons to add citations in papers

There are many reasons that make it compulsory for the writers to add citations in their essays. I consider this information of great value, whenever I write my essay. Some of these reasons are as follows:

Avoiding plagiarism

Plagiarism means that you present the ideas and works of other researchers and writers as your own. It is often that many students plagiarize the papers and essays of other writers in order to avoid working hard. This is mainly due to the fact that many of the students spend their time in activities that take away the precious time that they should use for their studies. They cover their time by using tools that help them to deliver papers on time but these papers are often plagiarized to avoid the struggle that the writers undertake in their course of studies.

Unintentional plagiarism

In some cases, a writer may commit accidental plagiarism due to carelessness, hurriedness, or misunderstanding. For instance, a writer may be unable to provide a complete, accurate citation because of forgetting to record bibliographical information. A writer may use a passage from a website into her paper and later forget where the material came from. A writer who delays his writings may rush through a draft, which easily leads to sloppy paraphrasing and inaccurate quotations. Any of these actions can create the appearance of plagiarism and lead to negative consequences.

Citations Styles

There are many citation styles that writers and researchers must consider as they write down their essays or ask them to write my essay for me. Some of the popular ones are MLA, APA, Chicago, IEEE, and Harvard citation methods.

These methods usually consist of two parts: in-text citations and bibliography. The in-text citations are giving by stating the surname of the author. Some referencing styles require the writers to give the year of publication of the source as well, separated by a comma, for example (Surname, Year).

The other section called the bibliography requires the writers to give the sources, both primary and secondary, at the end of their essay. This action serves two purposes. First, it allows the teacher to check the essay to confirm the use of sources and the facts cited. Second, it helps the teachers and fellow researchers in adding information to their own essays or papers.

Some referencing styles like Chicago prefer to use footnotes (notes at the foot of the page) or endnotes (notes at the end of the work) to reference the sources used in the essays. Although this method differs in style from the 'author, date' system, its purpose is the same: To acknowledge the source of ideas, data, or quotations without undue interruption to the flow of the writing.

Footnote or endnote markers, usually a sequential series of numbers either in brackets or slightly above the line of writing or printing (superscript), are placed at the appropriate point in the text of your essay.
