An early start to its 2021 competitive year aided Counter-Strike: Global Offensive secure the Impact Index rank 2 just like last year. Throughout the quarter, more than 80 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments were held and $3.6M was dispersed in prize pools. The game's competitive year has been kicked off with LoL smurf accounts an $1M BLAST Premier: Global Founded in January won by Natus Vincere and also the 1M Intel Extreme Masters XV -- World Championship in February won by Gambit.

The podcast is the latest in Spotify and League of Legends developer Riot Games' multiyear partnership that was announced in August, which so far also includes League of Legends-themed playlists and another Spotify Original series that resulted in last year's League of Legends esports world championship. Podcasts aren't the only non-video game content Riot Games is creating for League of Legends -- there's also a Netflix animated series in the works that is set to be released this autumn, comic books, and even a board game.

The animated series, which also comes in League of Legends (LoL) publisher Riot games is set to premiere later that fall. Place from the utopian area of Piltover along with the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story follows the origins of 2 iconic League champions-and the energy that will tear them apart.
