IPL 2021 Latest Update

The 14th edition of IPL started off in April, but the tournament was suspended in the middle due to the rising COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has been declared as a Level Seven Disability by the WHO. So far, 29 matches are played out of the 60 games. So what will happen to the remaining 31 games? IPL 2021 is all set to make a return with a new location. The rest of the matches will be played in the UAE. 

Mumbai Indians Will Come Face to Face With Chennai Super Kings 

Champion Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will come face-to-face in the first match in Dubai on September 19. The Indian cricket board made an official release on Sunday. The last stage of the league will be concluded on October 8, with Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore playing the final match. Moreover, the first qualifier will be played on October 10 in Dubai. The second qualifier and Eliminator will be played on October 11th and 13th in Sharjah. And the IPL finale will be hosted in Dubai on October 15. 

Post the match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians; Royal Challenger Bangalore will go against Kolkata Knight Riders in Abu Dhabi. On September 24, Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Chennai Super Kings in Sharjah. 

Overall, Dubai will host 13 matches, eight matches will be conducted in Abu Dhabi, and ten matches will be hosted in Sharjah. 

The league was suspended on May 4 due to the breach in the IPL's bio-bubble. During that time, the tournament was over halfway, with Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals only teams to have played eight matches. And the rest of the team were at their seventh match. 

Delhi Capitals are leading the table with 12 points, whereas RCB and CSK are right behind with 10 points. Mumbai Indians stands in the fourth position with eight points. After Mumbai comes Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

When IPL 2021 was suspended in the middle, it disappointed the fans greatly. And the news that IPL's matches will be conducted again brings a lot of joy, especially in these testing times.
