What is Sealed AGM Battery?

　　For many years, Sealed AGM Battery has been the standard of the solar energy industry. This type of battery is also used in golf carts and forklifts. They are the most cost-effective and long-lasting lead-acid batteries.

　　The SealedAgm Battery contains an electrolyte that can move freely in the battery case. When charging, the battery acid reacts with the lead plate to store electricity.

　　These batteries should be installed upright so that the electrolyte does not leak from the top cover. (Since sealed batteries are...well, sealed, you can install them in any direction without worrying about them leaking. Flooded batteries are different.)

　　Although this is the most economical battery on the market, its potential service life can only be reached if properly maintained. The liquid level must be checked once a month and filled with distilled water to ensure the longest service life.

　　Note: Lead-acid batteries filled with water will release toxic hydrogen gas when they are charged. They need to be enclosed and discharged outside to prevent these gases from being trapped and creating a dangerous environment.
