Technology makes it even more important to RS gold advance and adapt. Although you might claim that humans are the dominant race due to changes in their environment, this is not the case.

While I don’t know how old your are, consider the 20 years since then. Users of technology have had to adapt through VCRs to CDs to DVDs, and also through various interface devices (touchscreen being a major one). Gamers have to adapt to the new world of technology. I'm sure that you'd prefer to see Runescape keep up to date with its competition and survive for a long time, however, with a mindset of "no major updates cos we don't like these" runescape is set to slowly burn out.

EoC isn't the problem. To me, it's just more clicks for the same outcome, and the highlight is the ability to queue emotes. WoW is a game where I play with 80 odd keys, and there's a mini-game in figuring out DPS improvements or working out new tactics in PvP. Although I'm an old fan of mind controlling foes off the cliffs.

What happened to explain how EoC was born is the issue. Its birth is identical to Solomon, SoF, and the like. This is the way it was forced on players. Recently an Jmod posted about a poster posting bugs within BA. This was great constructive feedback. Later posters noted that although the bugs were all identified and reported to Jagex, they still made the cut.

So players weren't involved at the beginning, not until two years ago, nor in the final phase. Runescape isn't able to exist without players. EVE Online doesn't, WoW doesn't. Both games provided me jaw-dropping experiences compared to Runescape. Therefore, I'm not worried about whether EVE or WoW be able to survive. "Because it's been proven to work. ", well Runescape would not have existed if that argument applies to new updates. The MMOs have been around for fifteen years. That's not much time to already have traditional panaceas.

Jagex is pursuing easy money. Since SoF is a gambling game that is not regulated, an addictive game. characteristics, so it's an obvious match. It's a long-term game. It's not. Two reasons. Players will become sick of it. The law lags behind. However, politicians will catch up when they understand that there is tax money. Japan has recently experienced this. They were required to control their games for social purposes, which allowed cheap OSRS gold some gambling, and they almost shut down most of the gambling businesses. Since at that point, they weren't concerned about the game, only the money.
