Schools in Japan are different from schools all over the world. They have rules that students are expected to follow as it directly or indirectly affects their school’s reputation. Different schools have different uniforms so when in public it is easy for others to identify who belongs to which school. Hence, how students behave outside the school is taken quite seriously. Japanese schools also have their culture and traditions deeply rooted in their schools. This ensures that along with academic education, moral education also has its place and importance in a student’s life. 

Importance of Senior High School in Japan:

Some of the most important years for a Japanese student are their senior high school years. Senior high school mainly consists of eleventh and twelfth grades. A student has to give an entrance examination in order to transition to a senior high school. Students are prepared beforehand during their junior high school years so that they are more ready for their higher grades.. The subjects in high school consist of Japanese, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and English. At the end of Grade 12, students have to attempt another entrance examination. The pressure of this entrance examination starts from an early age as it determines their future and which university they will further go to according to their scores in their senior high school year. The students are prepared from an early age as it will determine the student’s potential and the school can accordingly determine which university would suit which student the best and train them accordingly. 

How international schools can prove to be more beneficial: 

In order for students to learn properly it is important for them to enrol in a good international school and this is where international schools come into the picture. An international school considers a student’s physical as well as their mental health which has a significant impact on their academic life as a student's senior year could prove to be a stressful one. International schools cover several grounds in a detailed manner like their faculty, events and activities, happiness index, parent engagement and most importantly university placement. International schools provide skills and education that  can help them survive in a world outside their academic life which makes schooling a realistic experience for students. International schools maintain a balance between a student's physical activity and their academic performance as sports activities are considered to be just as important as their studies.

In the end, making education and their senior year of high school fun as well as informative becomes a priority for teachers as well as parents.
