The 2020 season is setting up to be a big one for Oklahoma State. With three scholarships left to spend on the 2020 classafter the commitment of JUCO linebacker Lamont Bishop on Wednesday nightthe Cowboys will likely look to pull a few players out of the transfer portal to help bolster the roster and fill holes.On Tuesday, we looked at some possible wide receiver targets. Today, we're looking at the position group that could most benefit from a shot of experience, cornerback.That's not a shot at the position group. They return the most experienced player on the roster in Rodarius Williams, who leads the team with 39 starts. Behind him is some talent with a bright future UConn Huskies Custom Jersey, but not a lot of experience. Sophomore Thomas Harper had 13 tackles in 12 games as a reserve. That's about it.So with all that in mind, who should OSU look to target?Christian Holmes | MissouriHolmes has moved to the top of my list in recent days. In part because it seems the former Tiger is already in contact with OSU. He will reportedly be making a visit to Stillwater this weekend. Holmes, a former three-star prospect from the class of 2016, was expected to compete for a starting spot with the Tigers in 2020 before entering the transfer portal. He 29 tackles and four passes defended in 12 games. That was a slight dip from a 2018 campaign where he totaled 35 tackles, had 12 passes defended and two interceptions.Nick McCloud | North Carolina StateMcCloud missed most of the 2019 season with an injury and was viewed as a big part of the defense for 2020 until he decided to transfer.It was a loss for the Wolfpack with the former three-star prospect from South Carolina having the best career season in 2018. He racked up 51 tackles Travis Jones Jersey, defended eight passes and two interceptions while starting in 11 games. How he has recovered from his injury is a key factor, but we're talking about a productive back who was voted a team captain for 2019. It seems like exactly the kind of player you'd want helping out a young position group.Tyler Coyle | UConnThis one is a little different from the others. Coyle was a two-star CB prospect in the class of 2016, who played safety for most of his career at UConn.He led the Huskies in tackles, pass breakups and forced fumbles this past season as a team captain, and led the team in tackles in 2018.It might be better to find someone who has been playing corner the last couple of years than ask a safety to transition. But, considering he's played the position before, has proven productivity, and like McCloud has served as a leader on his team before, it might be beneficial to take a flyer on him.Greg Ross | North CarolinaThe former three-star prospect had his best season at North Carolina in 2019. Not necessarily from a stat-perspective Juan Rosario Jersey, but as a player who grew. He started in 2018 and it was... rough. But the arrival of Mack Brown and his coaching staff helped Ross improve a lot last year.He racked up 26 total tackles last season and had five passes defended.OSU isn't going to ask him to start, which is perfect. He will make a perfect back-up which is really what OSU is looking for.
