The price of used housing becomes more expensive by 3% during the year 2022, 2.5 points more than what occurred in 2020.

According to data from the real estate portal Hogaria.net for the month of December, the price of used housing for sale rose by 0.1% compared to the month of November, in the fourth quarter it increased by 0.6% and at the interannual rate stands at +3%. During the month of December, 26 provinces rose in price compared to the previous month.

Ranking of the most expensive/cheapest provinces to buy a home in 2021

Balearic Islands (€3,386/m2), Barcelona (€3,158/m2) and Guipúzcoa (€3,078/m2) are the provinces where it is more expensive to buy a second-hand home, followed by Vizcaya (€3,062/m2) and Madrid ( €2,956/m2). In contrast, Ciudad Real (€1,150/m2), León (€1,183/m2), Palencia (€1,195/m2), Badajoz (€1,228/m2) and Ourense (€1,271/m2) are the provinces where the price per square meter is cheaper.

Provinces and capitals that have decreased/increased the most in price during the year 2021

The Spanish provinces in which the price of housing fell the most during the past year were: A Coruña (-3.1%), Teruel (-2.4%), Córdoba (-2.1%), Lugo (- 1.8%) and Soria (-1%). On the contrary, the provinces that increased the most in price were: Toledo (7.2%), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (6.2%), Alicante (5.3%), Málaga (5.1%) and Segovia ( 4.8%).

The provincial capitals that fell the most in price last year were: Teruel (-3.7%), Zamora (-3.2%), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (-2.5%), Soria (-1, 4%) and Seville (-1.4%). On the contrary, the capitals that increased the most in price were: Palma de Mallorca (5.4%), Cádiz (4.9%), Málaga (3.6%), Madrid (2.4%) and Badajoz (1, 7%)

What has happened in the big Capitals during the year 2021?
